Devon Guy, RD
Devon has always had a passion for food and fitness. After traveling internationally for a couple of years, she decided to continue her education in nutrition. Devon graduated with a Bachelor of Science majoring in Dietetics from McGill University. After completing a one-year internship in Montreal, she moved back to Calgary to start her career as a Registered Dietitian. She has since been committed to health promotion through good nutrition and lifestyle.
For nearly two years, Devon has worked in nutrition in diverse settings. She has extensive experience providing nutrition care in all stages of life. The part of her career Devon enjoys the most is the prevention and management of chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol and kidney disease. She believes that lifestyle change can happen with knowledge, determination and commitment.
Devon is a great educator and believes that the key for people to take control of their health and well-being is continual education and support. Her approach is optimistic, realistic and personal. She is committed to helping her clients reach what they deserve: the highest possible standard of health through good nutrition and lifestyle.
Nutrition is a science in constant development and Devon is here to provide clients with the most up to date, research-based information. With all of the conflicting messages in the media knowing which foods to eat and how to cook them can be overwhelming. She has taken culinary classes in Australia, Italy and Thailand and loves to share recipe ideas with clients.
Devon hopes to further her education and career in nutrition and health promotion and is delighted to become a part of the FitNut Consulting team!
