Nutrition Consulting Services

A) Individual or Family Consultations:
All nutrition consultations are focused on the individual needs and lifestyle factors of the client. Each consultation includes a 90 minute initial meeting, analyzing nutrient intake, assessing with normal requirements, and proving a full meal plan. All consultations include a 30 minute follow-up and all necessary literature and tools.

B) Presentations:
Nutrition presentations are available on overhead or PowerPoint. Each participant receives a portfolio filled with handouts, business “free-bees” and various literature relevant to the presentation. (see topics below)

C) Nutrition Literature:
A complete selection of nutrition related literature is available as well. Lindy has prepared articles for company publications, member newsletters, and client needs.

Personal Fitness Training Services

Our fitness packages can be tailored to your needs and your budget. Our home-based initial consultation will get you started and you can book as many follow-up sessions as you need. The FitNut Starter and the FitNut Maintenance programs combine fitness and nutrition in one economical package with personalized service customized for your lifestyle needs.

NewOnline Nutrition Program

With a click of a mouse, you can access Register Dietitian designed meal plans, grocery lists, set and track weight goals and assess health risks. ONP is a web-based application that allows users to enter and maintain a personal dietary / lifestyle profile, set goals, automatically receive the recommended daily calories and select from a variety of Registered Dietitian designed meal plans and grocery lists that fit their dietary needs. A great way to stay on track of your health / fitness program.

The Healing Powers of Foods
Find out the power of foods in the prevention of common illness and disease. Participants will learn about antioxidants, supplements, and herbal remedies and where they are found in foods.
 
Nutrition 101
A general introduction to the basic nutrients, their role in the body, nutrient requirements, and natural food sources. (60 minutes)
 
Healthy Weight Management
Need a refresher on healthy weight loss? This presentation looks at current diet trends, what works, what doesn’t, and how to achieve sustainable weight loss! (90 minutes)
 
Vitamins, Minerals and Supplements
This session reviews the requirements for vitamins and minerals, and trends in diet supplements. This is a great class to bring your own supplement label and have it analyzed! (90 minutes).
 
Eating for Performance
A general sport nutrition introduction, this session discusses the role of carbohydrates, protein, and fats with athletes, as well as the impact of vitamins and minerals on sport performance. Water intake is also discussed. A must for active individuals! (60 minutes)
 
Eating for Performance (advanced)
This presentation takes a more detailed look at sport nutrition and the current trends in ergogenic aids, supplements, and dietary recommendations. (90 minutes)
 
Fats - Friend or Foe?
Want to learn how to get your cholesterol, or triglycerides down? Need a refresher on saturated, trans-fatty, and unsaturated fats? This will provide participants with a detailed look at healthy and not-so-healthy fats, and their role in long-term lifestyle goals. (90 minutes)
 
Food Labels 101
Learn more about Canada’s NEW guidelines to food labels. We will discuss how to read them and what food claims actually mean. It is recommended that you bring your own label with you for analysis! (90 minutes)
 
Immunity Boosters: Antioxidants, Phytochemicals and Functional Foods
Learn the ABC’s about disease and cancer fighting foods, and their natural sources. This is a great presentation for those interested in holistic and natural prevention to disease. (90 minutes)
